In the “Education Crisis” session at the World Government Summit 2024, the importance of artificial intelligence in developing education and enhancing student learning was emphasized. Ahmed Al Falasi pointed out that artificial intelligence is necessary, but the teacher remains central, and that soft skills come from the teacher, while academic skills can be acquired from artificial intelligence. The Estonian Minister of Education and the President of the Illinois Institute of Technology highlighted the benefits of technology and artificial intelligence in the educational process, while the director of alpha.school stressed the importance of training students in artificial intelligence from the early stages. Al Falasi also emphasized the need to train teachers to deal with artificial intelligence and the importance of balancing soft and academic skills in education.

Christina Kalas spoke about Estonia’s experience in applying innovation in education, where the country began 30 years ago to introduce technology into education to save resources. Estonia used technology instead of traditional books and launched technical programs for teachers, which showed the importance of technology-based education during the Corona pandemic.

The minister emphasized the importance of teachers’ skills and their confidence, noting that artificial intelligence can reduce the daily teaching time from 6 hours to 2 hours and helps in facing cognitive challenges.

Joe Lemann stressed the need to train students in the use of artificial intelligence, pointing to the success of the “Alpha” school in shortening study time and improving learning.

Dr. Raj Eshambadi identified three benefits of artificial intelligence in education for the next ten years: achieving academic excellence, improving skills and levels, and supporting access to the job market after graduation. He pointed out that artificial intelligence helps students compete and secure a seat at the university, and emphasized the importance of practical training alongside the academic degree.
